Strategic Plan

FY2024-FY2026 strategic plan has been extended to FY2027

FY 24-27: Momentum in Motion

Every three years, CCBC undertakes a year-long process of reflection and evaluation to shape its Strategic Plan.

Originally designed for FY2024–2026, the plan has been extended through FY2027 to allow more time to bring our ambitious goals to life. This extension ensures the college community can complete key initiatives and thoughtfully define the next phase of our shared vision.

The Strategic Plan encompasses the entirety of the Community College of Baltimore County: Who we are, where we are, what we believe and where we are headed.

Guided by CCBC’s established mission, vision and values, teams of college administrators, faculty and staff assess trends in economics and the regional workforce, politics, demographics and social issues, education, and technology to chart the best course for CCBC.

Strategic priorities

  • Enrollment growth.
  • Economic prosperity.
  • Credit and continuing education integration.
  • Transformational academics.

What we believe

The basic tenets on which we base our priorities, plans and actions emphasize the need for quality academic programs and innovative instruction to enhance student success and address barriers to achievement. CCBC believes in prioritizing students' aspirations, being responsive to the evolving needs of our community, and viewing students, faculty and staff as collaborative partners in education.

How we serve our communities

Community is at the heart of CCBC's mission. For over 60 years, we have served as a beacon of hope and opportunity for hundreds of thousands of students. Our great gift to our community is that 95 percent of our graduates return to live and work in our local region. We are not only building workforce capacity in every field from nursing to welding to accounting to the arts and everything in between but building communities.
