Papers. Exams. Late nights. You've persevered through it all - and now it's time to celebrate at the 2026 Commencement! You've earned it, and we couldn't be more proud of your accomplishment. As always, tickets are not sold or required for guests to attend Commencement. However, seating is limited so we recommend bringing no more than six guests.

What to wear

President's Distinguished Graduate

Recognized for achieving beyond expectations!

Each year, we select a student who has shown exemplary leadership and service to earn the President’s Distinguished Graduate (PDG) Award. The recipient receives a $2,500 transfer scholarship and delivers the commencement address.

We will be accepting applications from January 26, 2026 through March 13, 2026.

Directions and parking

Each year, Commencement takes place outdoors beneath the ceremony tent by the Wellness and Athletic Center on the CCBC Essex campus. Below you will find details on how to get to campus and where to park.

Important parking notice:

  • Arrive early, there will be heavy traffic. Campus parking opens at 11 a.m.
  • Do not park at the community across the street on Martin Farm Circle.

Please note: These instructions below are intended to assist you in getting to the ceremony. Exit the campus at the direction of CCBC Public Safety personnel.
