Drawing and Painting for the Senior Adult (ART 005)

This course is designed to enable the student to learn the basic techniques of various two dimensional media. Course is for maintenance and/or improvement of cognitive functions and small motor skills, such as, the ability to use a pincer grasp and move arm from left to right, up and down and in circular motion. Topics to be covered include drawing in pen and ink, pencil, and pastel; painting in oils, tempers, watercolor, and acrylic; and landscape, interior, still life drawing, and portraiture.
