Challenges students to function as working professional freelance photographers. Assignments provide the student with a format to research a project, produce a body of publishable work, edit the visual story and write captions for their photographs. This course stresses the need to develop a signature style and produce photographs that have the power to influence while working in the social landscape. Digital equipment and imaging software, as well as conventional cameras, may be used to accomplish course goals.
