Certificated Flight Instructor Multi-Engine Airplane (AVMT 265)

25 dual instruction flight hours (multi-engine airplane), 20 ground instruction hours, provides academic, flight, and simulator training required for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Certificated Flight Instructor, Multi-Engine (MEI) Airplane rating. Topics include fundamentals of student instruction, pre-flight preparation, multi-engine airplane operations, complex aircraft systems, emergency procedures, safety, and post-flight procedures. A valid FAA Medical Certificate is required. Course offered every fall, spring and may be offered during additional sessions.

Prerequisite(s): AVMT 233 and AVMT 257 and approval of the Aviation Program Director. Corequisite(s): AVMT 260 or approval of the Aviation Program Director.
Lab Fee: $9,000.00.

    Note: NOTE: This is a late-start flight training course. Students in this course will attend flight training 2 - 3 per week at their approved Flight Training Center. Students must attend the Orientation on Monday September, 25, 2023, 9:00AM-2:00PM, location will be announced via Brightspace by 8/14/2023. Permission from the Aviation Department is required to register. This course has an additional lab fee, refer to the college catalog. This course meets during the Late Start ten-week session.
