Introduction to Reading (CHA 287)

This course is designed to enable students with disabilities to identify and prepare to read with phonetic awareness. Topics include pre-reading decoding skills, phonetic awareness, letter-sounds and relationships, distinguishing between long and short vowel sounds in words, and exploring using pre-primer and primer sight words to build vocabulary.
