Explores the many ethical issues inherent in the field of education. Students identify ethical issues, apply relevant ethical codes, and implement decision-making models to resolve situations. Key areas of inquiry include boundaries, confidentiality, teacher rights and responsibilities, professional relationships, and credentialing/regulating agencies, and the use of technology in the classroom. This course provides specific focus on ethical issues relevant to the field of special education, including federal guidelines.
