Specific attention is given to the meanings of culture and race and their influence on teaching and learning. Students explore pedagogical methods for teaching diverse populations while building social-emotional learning skills into the daily pedagogy, including: self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision making, social awareness, and relationship skills.
