Explores the development of Western music in its historical and cultural context. Students will investigate the elements of music, musical instruments, and active music listening within a variety of historical time periods and musical styles. Students will attend at least one music performance outside of class. Course offered every fall, spring and may be offered during additional sessions.
Corequisite(s): ACLT 053 or (ESOL 052 and ESOL 054.
