Provides theory and practice in movement to develop increased awareness of the body as an instrument of expression; practices techniques for improving physical awareness and coordination, breath control, concentration, and general body conditioning as the foundation of character development; covers movement sequences, footwork and rhythmic accuracy, a variety of movement styles, and improvisation. Course offered once a year (fall or spring). Same As: DANC 146. Credit can be earned for one course only.
