To become a member and access Fab Lab Baltimore, all users must complete VOD 525: "Fab Lab Introduction"— a 2-hour Continuing Education course. This course will introduce you to our space, safety protocols and available tools.
After completion of this course you are granted membership to Fab Lab Baltimore.
For access to specialized equipment like CNC routers or 3D printers, additional workshops may be required to ensure proper training and safe operation.
Once you’ve completed the required courses, you can easily reserve work time through our online scheduling system.

Before using the Fab Lab, please review our policies to ensure a safe and productive experience for all members. These guidelines cover daily usage, safety requirements, equipment use, minors in the lab and general lab etiquette for everyone.
Fab Lab Baltimore uses a punch-pass system. You can pay by the day, or purchase a multi-day package.
Please note: "Computer use" days are designated by the reservation type. If you reserve to use the computer, that is a "computer use" day. If you reserve a machine for the day, you are able to use a designated computer to adjust files. We recommend using computer days when you are learning the software available in the lab or solely working on files in the lab with no machine use.
CCBC faculty and staff have free access to the lab.
