Psychology

Psychology

Psychology is the study of human behavior and the mental processes related to that behavior. Research psychologists investigate the physical, cognitive, emotional or social aspects of human behavior. Psychologists in applied fields provide mental health services in hospitals, clinics, schools or private settings.

The Associate of Arts in Psychology at CCBC is designed to allow students to transfer to a four-year degree program or to begin a career connected to the field of psychology. Students will have the opportunity to use their skills in the community and design their own research.

The psychology professors are very passionate about their field and have a wealth of knowledge that they carry with them, which often leads to great discussions in the classroom.
