Teaching Excellence

The Office of Teaching and Learning focuses on supporting faculty through professional growth. It achieves this by offering workshops, coaching, mentoring, and various other activities to help faculty and staff enhance their skills. Additionally, the center provides opportunities for faculty to discuss and reflect on their teaching and learning in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Faculty Development and Student Success

At CCBC, the Teaching and Learning initiative is divided into two key areas: Professional and Organizational Learning, and Transformational Pedagogies.

The Center for Professional and Organizational Learning (CPOL) cultivates intellectual curiosity and advancement of faculty and staff to promote student success at CCBC. As part of the Institute for Transformative Teaching, Learning and Leadership, CPOL is responsible for college-wide training events, conferences, resources for new faculty and other professional development opportunities.

The Center for Transformational Pedagogies cultivates teaching excellence through knowledge to promote student success at CCBC. As part of the Institute for Transformative Teaching, Learning and Leadership, the Center will promote proven teaching methods and research to help close achievement gaps and boost student success.
