This course is designed to enable educators, academic advisors, career coaches, guidance counselors, and administrators to learn about the transportation and maritime logistics industry in support of student academic ladder and career ladder advancement. Educators explore the transportation and maritime logistics industries through a series of engaging learning activities, site field trips and visits, lectures, and panel speaker presentations. Topics to be covered include: introduction to maritime port operations, Port of Baltimore history, supply chain management, intermodal transportation, port security, identification of career ladder options, identification of academic ladder options, documenting the learning experience.
