Coppin State University is a model urban, residential liberal arts university located in the northwest section of the City of Baltimore. CSU, an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), has a culturally rich history as an institution providing quality educational programs and community outreach services.

CSU offers 53 majors and nine graduate degree programs and is recognized for their arts and sciences, teacher education and nursing programs. CSU serves Baltimore residents as well as students from around the world, with flexible course schedules that include convenient day, evening and weekend classes and distance learning courses.

The student population is comprised of nearly 4,000 students, many being Baltimore residents from very diverse ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds. CSU has graduated thousands of alumni who are making a tremendous impact in the State of Maryland in various fields, particularly human services.

Complete your associate degree at CCBC and transfer your credits seamlessly to earn your bachelor’s degree at CSU.

Academic and transfer support

Dually admitted students to CCBC and CSU receive co-advising from both institutions to ensure that CCBC courses align with your chosen CSU program.

Seamless credit transfer

Earn an A.A. or A.S. degree CCBC and transfer all credits directly to CSU. You’ll enter with Junior standing with priority registration and housing.

Financial perks

Receive a waiver for the CSU application fee and become eligible for CSU transfer scholarships like a $1,000 scholarship tuition credit.

Eligibility and next steps

To be eligible for dual enrollment at CSU, you must:

have a high school diploma or equivalent.
enroll in an associate degree program at CCBC.
enroll in the Degrees to Succeed Program within your first year at CCBC or prior to earning 30 credits (including credits earned through transfer, prior learning or high school/dual enrollment).
