Provides an overview of the veterinary profession and the roles of the veterinary healthcare team members. Legal and ethical issues related to the veterinary industry are discussed. Topics include the use of veterinary medical terminology, communications in veterinary practice, and professionalism. The priority of patient healthcare is emphasized and an introduction to species and breed-specific diseases and treatments is provided. Course offered every fall, spring and may be offered during additional sessions. Lecture Hours per week: 2.
