Alcohol and Drug Counselor Trainees (ADT) provide counseling services for children and families who experience and/or have family members experiencing opioid or other substance use disorders. ADTs work in both outpatient and residential alcohol and drug treatment facilities in Maryland. This course series prepares students/apprentices to earn the Alcohol and Drug Counselor Trainee (ADT) status from the Maryland Department of Health.

The Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS) use their lived experience of recovery from mental health and substance use disorders to help others on their journey toward recovery. PRS support clients by connecting them to resources, assisting with recovery planning and providing advocacy throughout the recovery process. This apprenticeship program prepares students for the PRS credential in Maryland and for entry into the PRS workforce, with a focus on family and peer support.

CCBC’s Alcohol and Drug Counselor Trainee (ADT) program prepares you to begin a meaningful career in addiction counseling, combining foundational coursework with hands-on training to meet Maryland certification requirements.
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) in accordance with the Maryland Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act. Building on the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role, the PCT works primarily in hospital settings and performs both CNA duties and advanced delegated skills such as venipuncture, specimen collection, basic EKGs, and catheter, ostomy, tracheostomy and wound care.

The Cybersecurity Support Technician assists in developing security policies and protocols; assists in enforcing company compliance with network security policies and protocols. Installs, configures, tests, operates, maintains, and manages networks and their firewalls including hardware and software that permit sharing and transmission of information. Installs, configures, troubleshoots and maintains server configurations to ensure their confidentiality, integrity and availability; also manages accounts, firewalls, configuration, patch and vulnerability management.
